Chong Eng Beng (Mitra Chong) has more than 26 years of experience encompassing training and development, organisational development, talent management and change management. Among the previous positions that he has held are
- Vice President – Head of Change Management, AmGeneral Insurance Berhad;
- Assistant Vice President – Head of Talent Management and Learning & Development, Zurich Insurance (M) Berhad;
- Assistant General Manager of Organizational Development, Kurnia Insurans (M) Berhad;
- Senior Manager, Training & Development, American Home Assurance Bhd (Member of AIG); and
- Training & Development Manager, Hong Leong Management School.
He wanted to make a bigger difference in the lives of others after a successful career and accumulation of vast experience, he decided to embark on his own path to inspire others to reach their full potential. He integrates his work experience with his passions, strengths and skills in inspiring and developing people.
During his corporate life, he was the recipient of the Regional People Management award for his people management skills. He holds a certificate in Strategic HR Transformation and Organizational Development from Pennsylvania State University, USA and a Masters degree in Training and Human Resource Management from University of Leicester, UK. He is a certified Master Performance Coach and holds several certifications in training.
Among the certifications that he has obtained are Certified Master Performance Coach, Competency Based Training and Education – Programme Developer, Hermann Brain Dominance Accreditation Workshop, Effective Interview Excellence, 360 degree feedback, Corporate Story Telling and Interview Excellence Program. He is also a certified facilitator for the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and The Quality Advantage.
He uses experiential learning in his training courses and engages his participants in the learning process by combining both the intellectual and emotional side of learning. Among the training courses that he conducts are Communication and Presentation Skills, Customer Service series, Leadership and Management, Supervisory Management, Team Building and Motivation, Sales and Negotiation, Performance Management, Recruitment and Interviewing skills, Coaching, Corporate Storytelling and Personal Development,
He also provides consultancy services on HR projects including on-boarding, Assessment Centre, management trainee programme, HR policies and code of conduct, performance management project and talent management.
